Momentary Network Outage in Manchester Data Centre

We have just experienced a momentary network outage (few minutes) at the Manachester Data Centre.
Engineers are investigating the cause but all is back up now.

Outgoing email UPDATE

We have for the last hour routed email through a different outgoing mailserver so this will get around the black list issues temporarily. 
We will re-route back when the main mail servers have been delisted which we are expecting within 8 hours.

This should mean all email is flowing normally at the moment but if you are still getting issues please contact us so we can investigate.



Outgoing email

Following from last week's issue with one of our outgoing mailservers being blacklisted as someone sent spam through it, this was cleared off the lists but has been picked up again in the last 24 hours.  We are working to get this off the list and identify the source but unfortunately it does take about 12 hours to be removed from the list.  This will not affect all email but any that is using spamcop to check for blacklisted mailservers.

We are also working on re-routing the email through a different mailserver so expect a solution on this within a couple of hours, we will update you here.

Alternatively we have an authenticated mail server you can use if you are experiencing issues.  Please contact us by phone if you would like us to provide you details of how to use this.

Outgoing mail server listed on blacklist

We have said several reports that email sent through one of our outgoing mailservers, smtp.worthers.com is being bounced by some recipient mail providers due to it being listed on a black list.  We are working to get this removed as soon as possible and to identify the source of any spam.  This should be delisted within 12 hours.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.  

We do have alternative outgoing mailservers that require a few changes to your email settings if you continue to have issues.

Issue with database server resolved

We were alerted to an issue with the database server on Bart server earlier today. Unfortunately our automatic alert system didn't pick up on this as it was still responding. When we did discover this we resolved as soon as we could. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Network issue affecting some routing

We have been informed there is a network issue affecting some routes to a few of our servers.
This may result in intermittent drop outs when trying to connect to your web site.  Our network provider has technicians working on this and should be resolved very soon.
